All right. I should probably get started on this!
Recently I've been doodling ideas for my piece during lectures, but I have a couple of quick questions before I can really get to work:

1) Does the creature have to be fully humanoid, at least partially physically anthropomorphic, include some sign of human-level intelligence, or does it not matter?

2) There are a couple of animals I'm considering (a tiger or a tiger salamander), so I just need to make sure that no one's claimed them yet.

Please accept my apologies if the answer to #1 has already been posted about. I did at least try to find the answer on my own before asking. ^^;

I'm not the final authority on this, but there's no need for the critters to be anthro, they just can't be something that already exists. Someone else did a bioluminescent goldfish :)

I don't think anyone's doing a tiger or a salamander of any sort (less sure of the salamander), but even if they were, that'd probably be okay! The likelyhood that you'd have the same interpretation, art style, and composition seems pretty small!
